🌤️ How to Reset Your Mind After the IB — and Actually Enjoy the Holidays
You've survived the IB — now what?
The stress is over, but switching from "study mode" to "holiday mode" isn't easy. Here's how to
truly reset your brain and body during your break.
🧘 1. Unlearn the Constant Pressure
For months, your brain has been wired for deadlines and grades.
Start by giving yourself permission to do nothing.
- Sleep until you naturally wake up.
- Eat when you're hungry, not when you "have time."
- Go outside daily — sunlight resets your biological clock faster than any app.
🎨 2. Rebuild Creative Energy
You've been analytical for so long that creative energy feels foreign.
Try:
- Painting, journaling, or digital design (even bad art helps).
- Revisit hobbies you dropped during IB.
- Create a "dopamine list": small things that make you happy but don't involve screens.
🌊 3. Reconnect Offline
Social connection is the fastest route to mental reset.
Text that friend you haven't seen in months. Meet people in person. Real laughter restores your
energy more than scrolling TikTok ever could.
🔋 4. Protect the Recharge
It's okay to say "no." Boundaries protect your rest.
Avoid signing up for new stress — you've earned peace.
