Everyone says to "do past papers" — but few students know how to use them for maximum results. Here's how to turn every past paper into a learning accelerator.

In early stages, filter questions by topic.
E.g., "Functions & Trig" for Math or "Elasticities" for Econ.
This builds mastery without overwhelm.
Markschemes reveal patterns.
Note key verbs, structure, and phrasing.
Ask: "What are they rewarding?" not "What did I miss?"
Full timed papers too early = demotivation.
Start with 45-min sessions, then move to full-length simulations closer to exams.
Keep an "Error Log."
Every mistake should answer:
What went wrong?
Why? (concept or carelessness?)
How will I fix it?
